Over the years, we’ve seen the Philippine football community continue to grow in size and scale. There are already several competition-level pitches around the country, with some even certified by international governing body, FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association). In Biñan, Laguna, a regulation-sized football facility is nearing completion, providing a new world-class football destination for enthusiasts and athletes.

A Modern Football Field at the Heart of the South

E-Sports worked with the local government of Biñan, Laguna to install Limonta’s Diamond 50 premium turf on the pitch. An Italian designer and manufacturer of synthetic grass and turf for sports facilities, Limonta is one of the preferred turf producers both for FIFA and the International Rugby Board (IRB). Measuring 66 meters wide and 102 meters long, the Biñan football field is outfitted with the best turf available in the country.

Developed to offer optimum playability, versatility, and durability, the Limonta Diamond 50 is designed for both professional athletes and enthusiasts. It features reduced abrasion properties, high wear resistance, great footing stability and optimal sensation to players during training and actual games. Moreover, the 50 millimeters long monofilament blades are backed with latex turf carpet coated with polyurethane for added longevity.

For aesthetic purposes, the Limonta turf boasts of natural look, along with an original diamond-shaped grass blades with 220 micron yarn thickness. Additional features of the Diamond 50 turf are a built-in drainage system underneath, as well as a rubber infill granules imported from Spain.

The world-class Limonta turf is further complemented by high quality equipment, including aluminum goal frames from AFN Sports, a Malaysian brand utilizing German technology and a five lighting tower systems provided by American lighting specialist, Musco.

The local government of Biñan is also building a grandstand that can seat 2,500 guests. There also a closed-off section on the upper center of the grandstand for VIPs and special guests.  On the opposite side is a 12 x 9 meter screen that functions as both scoreboard and video monitor. With a budget of P320 million, the Biñan pitch is expected to be ready for official matches before the end of 2015.

Besides the Biñan football field, E-Sports has done installations for Rizal Memorial Stadium, SPARTA, Emperador Stadium and Turf BGC. These pitches all feature high quality artificial turf from Limonta, with Rizal Stadium receiving a FIFA 2-star accreditation.

    My name is Yvan, Belgian National, living in Santa Rosa. My son who’s 16 goes to school in Binan but they don’t offer football as a schoolsport, although it’s his favorite sport as a Belgian/Filipino. It’s a pitty that Binan has a good accomodation and the posibility to play is not given at school…

    I’m sure that the Philippines could do much better with a sport who was played here longer than Basketball. It would be also a more natural sport for Philipinos and a posibility to gain extra income after some years of expierience…
