Sports Should Play an Important Role in the New Normal
We must continue to have our athletes’ best interests at heart moving forward.
The E-Sports International team would like to extend our support for our nation’s athletes during this challenging period. As sports are currently on lockdown and people must Shelter in Place, we invite you to advocate on their behalf when society regains its freedom of movement.
We believe that the “new normal” should promote sports and support our athletes, their aspirations, fans, and integral roles in society.
Sports make positive impacts on communities across the board. They provide opportunities for personal development and cooperation—while contributing to physical and mental health, nutrition, science, disease prevention, and quality of life.
In addition, communities become safer when they offer sports as uplifting avenues for at-risk and underprivileged populations. Meanwhile, support systems of coaches, friends, families, organizations, and fans create cohesive bonds across demographics.
Sports have the ability to inspire, to unify, and to create heroes.
A world without sports would suffer huge economic losses. Last year in 2019, FIFA’s net revenue was close to $9 billion, the NHL’s exceeded $5 billion, and all 30 NBA teams generated nearly $9 billion. A Nielsen Survey found that four out of ten people are football fans. According to a Sports Champic report, football alone has around four billion fans—more than half the world’s population.
Clients, suppliers, and local athletes have expressed their concerns to E-Sports International and we are treating them seriously. Players, many of whom are currently experiencing hardship and depression during quarantine, are eager to get out and play again. Fans still have the desire to watch matches on television or online.
One vital challenge will be:
How do we incorporate sports into the new normal?
Our team is willing to discuss how we can help your community, organization, or club get ready for the modification or lifting of Enhanced Community Quarantine. Feel free to contact us us through the information below.
Together, we can consider disseminating information on disease prevention in athletes; harnessing digital technology for team communication and match streaming; and the regular maintenance, sanitation, and quality control of sports facilities. Our athletes shouldn’t return to run-down gyms, arenas, and pitches. They deserve the very best “welcome back.”
As one of the nation’s most experienced developers of high-quality sports infrastructure, E-Sports International can help construct or upgrade your facilities in preparation for a serious comeback.
Let’s fight to revive sports together, as hard as our athletes fight for the gold.
