The Return of the UFL to the Rizal Memorial Stadium
For the past few weeks, Rizal Memorial has been hosting the United Football League’s (UFL) Football Alliance League Cup. This is the first time that the League will be playing on the newly installed Limonta artificial turf, and signals the return of Philippine football to the historic stadium. This UFL Cup’s matches will mainly be played on the RMS pitch, while the Emperador Stadium in Taguig will also host a few group games.
There is great excitement over the pitch, especially after it hosted the semifinals and finals of the recently concluded international Peace Cup. Fans who can’t make the trip to Manila can watch the semifinals and finals (November 8) on AKTV 5.
